Eat your nightmares! Go Babtoro!

Babtoro is a top-down tile based puzzle game about overcoming nightmares by capturing the creatures and using their abilities to solve unique puzzles.

This game was made for the PirateSoftware GameJam 'You are the weapon' 2025.

Theme interpretation:

We interpret the theme as a mental health battle. The player is the weapon, creating their own nightmares, which slowly take over their dream. The person that is asleep is creating their own nightmares through their worries and thoughts. This eliminates their fun and happy dreams. They are slowly destroying their own happiness, showing that they themselves are the weapon. Through conquering their nightmares (by absorbing them), they can overcome their own thoughts and return to good dreams!
